About the Veolia Mulwaree Trust

 
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust was established to manage and distribute funds from the Woodlawn Bioreactor near Tarago owned by Veolia Environmental Services.The objective of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust is to provide funding to any charitable purpose and on projects for the benefit of the community of the former Mulwaree Shire Council area, or a community within a Council area immediately surrounding or adjoining the former Mulwaree Shire area.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust accepts applications throughout the year. The Trust’s guidelines and application form is available on the guidelines and forms tab above. Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact the Veolia Mulwaree Trust office on (02) 48222786 with any enquiries prior to submitting an application.

Closing Date for Applications

The next meeting of the Trust to assess applications will be held in May/June 2010. Applications for this round will close at 12 noon on Monday May 3 2010. Applications received after this date will referred to the next funding round to be held later in the year.

Congratulations to the following community groups and organisations which have recently received funds from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust:  

 
  • Goulburn Regional Art Gallery - $14,000 for Sculptured Recyclables exhibition and school workshops
  • St Bede’s Primary School Braidwood – $5000 toward new playground equipment
  • Goulburn Relay for Life (NSW Cancer Council) – $5000 donation toward 2009 event
  • Gunning PA and I Society – $26,856 toward servery and storage building at Gunning Showground
  • Tallong Public School - $5699 for a new literacy resource scheme
  • Marulan and District Preschool – $4450 for new shade sails over the sandpit
  • Penrose Public School – $1402 for the purchase of a new stove for the school’s kitchen
  • South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) – $10,000 toward a new 12 seater mini bus for young athletes
  • Bungendore Community Landcare Group – $6588 toward the establishment of a community garden
  • Oberon Men’s Shed – $6378 toward creation of new Men’s Shed premises
  • Nowra Youth Services Inc – $10,080 toward airconditioning at the Nowra Youth Centre
  • Wollondilly Public School – $25,438 toward the establishment of a fitness equipment track
  • St Saviours Patchwork Group – $500 donation toward resources for making quilts for charity
  • Anglican Parish of Crookwell – $2970 toward purchasing new chairs for St Bartholomew’s Anglican Hall
  • Goulburn and District Palliative Care and Oncology Support Group – $10,000 toward new equipment
  • Southern Highlands Foundation (Wingecarribee Community Health) – $10,000 toward new palliative care equipment
  • Bungendore Quilters Inc – $2500 toward the Bungendore Quilt Show Infrastructure Project
  • RSPCA Goulburn and Southern Highlands Branch – $500 donation
  • Diabetes Australia (Goulburn Support Group) – $1000 donation
  • Majors Creek Recreation Reserve Trust – $12,000 toward the Majors Creek tennis court restoration
  • Braidwood FM Inc – $6578 toward improvements and new equipment
  • Tallong Community Focus Group – $3,900 toward Movies at Tallong Memorial Hall project
  • Make A Wish Foundation (Goulburn Branch) – $1000 donation
  • All Saints Anglican Church Collector – $6800 toward sesqui-centenary bell tower project
  • Goulburn Lieder Theatre – $22,190 toward creative opportunities project
  • Australian National University – $7000 toward providing an Engineering Scholarship
