Recent Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant recipients

Fourteen applicants successfully applied for grants at the Veolia Mulwaree Trust’s recent funding round held in August.

Among the groups which successfully applied for grants were the Wollondilly Shire Council which will receive $70,000 toward a new amenities block at Waterboard Oval at Warragamba which will include a canteen, toilets and club rooms. The Goulburn branch of Abbeyfield Australia also obtained a grant of $50,000 toward the development of the Abbeyfield Goulburn Disability House.

 Other grant recipients include:

Rotary Club of Picton – $5780 for a new BBQ trailer.

Southern Highlands Carriage Club – $7717 for new toilets at Bundanoon clubhouse.

Yarra Recreation Reserve Trust – $2860 for a new picnic shelter and bench seat at the Yarra Tennis Courts.

Tarago and District Pony Club – $3792 for a new water tank at the Tarago Recreation Area.

Harbison Care Memorial Retirement Village – $11,000 toward the purchase of nine new pressure relieving comfort chairs for residents.

Friends of the Oberon Library – $6000 for the ‘Disabled Access to the Written Word’ project.

Goulburn Gem Society – $2375 toward the purchase of new grinders.

Taralga and District Tennis Association Inc – $12,500 toward two new synthetic multi-purpose courts.

Breadalbane Community Hall and Park Committee – $19,108 toward the cost of the kitchen at the new hall.

Picton Public School P and C Association – $14,447 for the provision of new interactive whiteboards.

Mulwaree High School – $20,000 toward a computer-aided plasma cutter, to be used as a regional school resource.

St John Ambulance – Goulburn Division – $13,700 toward the purchase of a new camper trailer for use as a mobile first aid post.
