CWA Marulan Branch donation put to good use

The CWA Marulan Branch have purchased much-needed new cupboards and fittings for their building with a $1000 donation from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust. Secretary, Faye Danckwardt, wrote ” thank you and once again let me say how much our little branch appreciates the Trust’s generosity in allocating this donation to us. It is very much appreciated. The members have only praise for the new cupboards, and our rooms look so much bigger and brighter, as well as having more storage room for many of the projects that we are involved in”.

As a Branch, the CWA Marulan ladies make packs of woolens and baby clothes which are sent overseas to needy countries such as New Guinea, as well as other handcraft goods for other charitable work that they engage in. The cupboards will be used to store these goods until shipment, as well as allow them to remove out of sight some of the other items in the building, including the History Library which extends over the 60 years.
