Extension to Wamboin Pony Club clubhouse

Wamboin Pony Club received a grant of $8871 from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust which they used to build an extension to their clubhouse. The website of the Wamboin Pony Club Association has this report about their project:

‘It has been a two year project, but it is now complete and Wamboin Pony Club has a greatly improved clubhouse facility thanks to the grant received from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust and the efforts of our fabulous volunteers.

“Conceived in 2008, the project was aligned to the celebration of the Club’s 25th year of operation (achieved in 2007) and the project concept and grant bid was pulled together by the then WPC Committee. It was great news to have our application considered favourably by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust Board and to receive the grant of just over $8,800.

“Since then it has been an ongoing project over the two years to see the clubhouse extension through to lock up in time for our November events in 2010. The project would not have gone anywhere without the tireless efforts of our volunteer project manager and Wamboin PC Dad – Peter Evans. Peter redesigned the extension when we learned of an easement on our land and managed the entire project from start to finish. He put in many, many more hours than are on our official records in order to see the project through to completion. Everyone at Wamboin PC is very grateful for Peter’s tireless efforts.’

“Of course, there were many many hours of volunteer time given freely by those members of WPC who attended the 18 odd working bees that were held when we could. It is estimated that around 230 volunteer hours went into the project in order to see it through to completion.”
