In May 2010 the Tuena Hall Committee received a grant of $8000 from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust to upgrade the Hall’s kitchen. This project was jointly funded by the Trust, Hall Committee and Upper Lachlan Shire Council.

After the Committee recently completed the kitchen project, Committee Secretary, Jill Cowey, said “the Hall will have much better facilities for the craft shop encouraging more people into The Hall. When we have functions it will be much easier to provide refreshments. The more visitors we have, the better it is for Tuena. We now have a lovely, clean new kitchen with more cupboard and drawer space. We also have a hot and cold mixer tap for the sink hot water supplied by an instant gas hot water system. This is much safer than the antiquated old electric system we had before”.
