Christmas resulted in a record number of food and toy hampers being distributed by Goulburn's St Vincent de Paul Society. A $1,000 donation from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust was used in conjunction with other donations and St Vincent de Paul Society funds

to purchase a total of $7,500 of food items and gift cards and toys.

These items, along with other donated toys and food items, were distributed to needy families and individuals in Goulburn and the surrounding areas.

President of the St Peter & Paul's Conference, Ross Kirby, said “many comments of appreciation were received from the families and individuals as they received their hampers and toys. Some of the recipients of toys stated that without the help given by the St Vincent de Paul Society their children would have had a bleak Christmas.”
