The Goulburn Red Cross Retail Shop received a Veolia Mulwaree Trust donation of $1000 which they used to purchase new equipment for the volunteers to assist in their goal of raising money for the charity.

Secretary, Carol Tapp said “We were able to purchase a top quality Dyson vacuum cleaner, used daily and regularly commented on by volunteers as a pleasure to use a machine that really works. We also purchased an ironing system which allows the volunteers to have a powerful steam iron that  only occasionally needs filling.

“The new vacuum cleaner, iron system and a kettle makes it so much easier and a pleasure to do our jobs.  It makes such a difference to have excellent working tools,” Mrs Tapp said.

“As volunteers we take great pride in the presentation of our shop and the second hand clothing we sell. It is very satisfying to hear this is valued by our customers who regularly comment on how clean and tidy our  shop  is and the appealing condition of the clothing which we check over and present as best as possible. The money raised through our charity is used locally, nationally and internationally.”
