Bungendore Carriage Driving Club have used a grant of $3977 to purchase purpose-designed surrounds to replace the previous wooden surround and provide a world class dressage arena, enhancing the competitions and schools run by the members. The surround consists of lengths of PVC extruded rails and stands, which can be configured to provide different size arenas. The ability to configure the arena surround to other measurements may enable use by other equestrian bodies in the area.

The Bungendore Carriage Driving Club have already made good use of their new equipment for events in October, a graded Dressage Day and the Munro Cup, a one day Combined Driving event. These were followed in November by the NSW Combined Driving Championships.

Club President, Mrs Dorothy Willcoxson said “without the generosity of the Veolia Mulwaree Trust the club would have been struggling to finance the fencing, but now it has a world class set of fencing for the use and enjoyment of many.”
