Storage shed adds valuable space at Wingello Rural Fire Brigade

The Wingello Rural Fire Brigade recently opened its new storage shed which the Veolia Mulwaree Trust assisted to fund with a grant of $11,284.

The shed will make training easier and will provide valuable space particularly on occasions when the Wingello Fire Shed is set up as a staging area during a large fire event.

Wingello Rural Fire Brigade has around 80 volunteer members and is a command post and staging area for major fire events in the southern portion of the Wingecarribee LGA and northern portion of the Goulburn Mulwaree LGA. The facilities at the Brigade have been progressively upgraded over several years by the fundraising efforts of its members and grant monies provided by organisations such as the Veolia Mulwaree Trust.

“The benefit to the community is the provision of efficient and reliable emergency services to the level expected by the community,” Brigade secretary Lyn Leniston said.
