Buxton public school resource projectThe students at Buxton Public School are celebrating the arrival of their new reference materials following a successful grant application to the Veolia Mulwaree Trust. The Trust's $5560 grant enabled the school's literacy committee to purchase new dictionaries, thesauruses and atlases for all students in classes from Kindergarten to Year 6, to enrich the school's Focus on Reading program.

Thanking the Trust on behalf of the students and teachers at Buxton Public School, teacher Fiona Wilkinson said the school had updated the reference materials available for students use in all classrooms, replacing some very old books.

” Students are excited about the new books and eager to use them in their daily learning. They now have current relevant reference materials and there are sufficient resources to work with a whole class,” Ms Wilkinson said.

“Thank you very much. We now have enthusiastic students who love their new books and are motivated and keen to learn.”
