Crookwell and District Art Gallery shines

Crookwell and District Art Gallery has recently undergone an upgrade assisted through funding provided by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust. The upgrade project included the installation of an art gallery lighting system and contruction of two moveable partitian walls with an attached hanging system, which also double as gallery storage.

Crookwell Art GalleryArt Society Member Mary Mayoh said the project has delighted visitors to the Gallery and transformed it into a professional art gallery space.

“The art works are now able to be viewed individually and with great clarity, and the illumination of the artworks that the lighting has achieved is more than we hoped for,” Mrs Mayoh said.

The Society commisioned members of the local Crookwell Men’s Shed to create the two moveable partitions. Men’s Shed members also kindly attached the handing systems along the top of the walls at no charge.

The total project cost of just over $6000 was funded by a 75% contribution from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust and 25% by funds raised by the Art Society.
