Committee Member, Merrie Hamilton, said the Two Fires Festival honoured the legacy of the late Judith Wright and offered a program of poetry, Indigenous participation and environmental content to inform and entertain locals and visitors.

Many events were free to attend at the festival including an Activist Film Festival, a political forum, several exhibitions/displays and all events held in Ryrie Park according to Ms Hamilton.

“On behalf of the Two Fires Festival 2013 Committee, a volunteer committee which worked very hard for at least twelve months beforehand, I thank you very much for your interest in and ongoing support of our quite unique event,” Ms Hamilton told the Trust.
