Community organisations receive Veolia Mulwaree Trust funding

Warradale Men's ShedThe Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulates fifteen community organisations which were presented with grants at an event held in Goulburn in December. Pictured are representatives from Warradale Men’s Shed receiving their cheque from Trustee John Reynolds. The other recipients include;

Silverdale Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade received a grant of $16449 for their Station Extension project to renovate the brigade’s station to provide modern and functional facility.

The Rainbow Clubs of Goulburn and Buxton have received $5,000 each for 2014 for the learn to swim program which enables children requiring specialised support to be comfortable and safe in the water.

The Nowra Anglican College have received $15000 towards the purchase of a Toyota Coaster for the community college.

Havenlee School received $10507 for their Multi-Sensory Path and Softfall Project which they will use to create a wheelchair and walker accessible sensory path through bush gardens.

Moss Vale Community Garden have plans to create eight new garden beds for their Garden Extension project with a grant of $5000.

Warradale Men’s Shed are undertaking a Vintage Truck Restoration Project and have received a grant of $4800 for this skill sharing project.

A grant of $10000 will assist the Middle Arm Hall and Progress Association to upgrade the existing toilet block to house male, female and a disabled access toilet.

Moss Vale Men’s Shed will be able to purchase a tool set for metal, sand blast cabinet and electrical appliance tester with a grant of $6380.

Sutton Forest Public School has received $6000 for a Smartboard which will assist with their Technology Teaching Resources Project.

The Lady Denman Heritage Complex Huskisson received a grant of $1790 to purchase photographic equipment for cataloguing and for museum and community workshops.

Youth Radio 2WYR located in the Southern Highlands have a Broadcast Mixer Panels Project which received $6468 grant funding towards installing two digital mixer consoles in their On-Air and Production Studios.

Mulwaree High School have received $19850 for their Wetland Project which will assist the school to revitalize a wetland to provide an outdoor area for the study of the protection and use of the environment.

The Waminda South Coast Women’s Health And Welfare Aboriginal Corporation received $21347 to build a fence around the Sustainable Living Garden. This project provides productive work for Aboriginal Women leaving detention and people with disabilities.

Crookwell District Hospital have received a grant of $29913 towards their Wound Clinic Upgrade Project which will assist them to refurbish the Community Health Wound Clinic.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust looks forward to working with these community organisations over the coming months toward the successful completion of their projects. The following 20 organisations have been successful under the Veolia Mulwaree Trust donation program:

Berry Community Preschool – $1000 donation for their sensory garden project.

SDN Lady McKell Children’s Education and Care Service (Goulburn) – $1000 donation for their Visual Arts and Storytelling program.

Sailability NSW Callala Branch – $1000 donation for a new outboard motor.

Kollege of Knowledge Kommittee for Kids Inc (Mittagong) – $1000 donation for their building modifications for respite centre project.

Ulladulla Stroke Recovery Club – $1000 donation for the Ulladulla Strokes Olympics Challenge.

Quota International of Goulburn – $1000 donation towards resources for hearing impaired students.

Wingecarribee Family Support Service – $1000 donation for the Family Support Service Christmas party.

Riding for the Disabled Assoc (NSW) Goulburn Branch – $1000 donation for horse riding activities for young people with disabilities.

Richmond Fellowship of Goulburn – $1000 donation for the Personal Helpers and Mentors Program.

Friends of Oberon Library Inc – $1000 donation for digital recording equipment for oral history project.

Friends of the Hill Top War Memorials – $1000 donation for covered barbeque area project

The Goulburn Group Inc – $1000 donation for their “Sustainability” weekend event.

New and Used Productions (Bowral) – $1000 donation for youth theatre sets and costumes for their next production.

Wollondilly Little Athletics Centre – $1000 donation to assist with hosting the zone carnival for 2013/2014.

Crookwell Amateur Lifesaving and Swimming Club – $1000 donation for a laptop and printer.

Bowral Cricket Club – $1000 donation for cricket kits for junior teams.

St Stephen’s Anglican Church Mittagong – $1000 donation towards a shade sail over the playground sand pit.

Southern Highlands Woodies Group (Mittagong) – $700 donation for a new refrigerator.

St Vincent de Paul Society (Wingecarribee) – $828 donation for children’s swing sets for Pathways Houses.

The Salvation Army (Ulladulla Mission) – $1000 donation for their “Salvista Barista” skills program.

The next Veolia Mulwaree Trust funding round opens on Wednesday 2nd April 2014 and applications will be accepted until Wednesday 14th May 2014. The Trust welcomes applications from not-for-profit organisations with projects to benefit the local community.
