New office, kitchen and store room for Crossroads Rural Fire Station

crossroads imageCrossroads Rural Fire Brigade members have utilised a Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant of $14979.00 to supply and fit a brand new kitchen, office and store room to their newly built rural fire station.

The Crossroads Brigade has recently been formed to amalgamate three existing brigades from Sanctuary Point, Erowal Bay and Hyams Beach.

The grant has allowed the brigade to fit out the new station in a modern and functional manner”.  Inspector Paul Gooey, Operational Services Coordinator stated.

The installments are designed to improve organisation of office duties, allow for safe and functional kitchen usage and assist the undertaking of storage, maintenance and repairs to brigade equipment.

“The new fire station will enhance community fire protection and the Veolia Mulwaree Trust funded ‘fit-out’ will greatly assist membership use of facilities and organisation of work areas”.  Inspector Gooey said.
