Three TAFE agricultural students are the lucky recipients of the 2015 Veolia Mulwaree Trust Agriculture Scholarship Program run through TAFE Illawarra – Moss Vale and Goulburn Campuses.

The three students (pictured above) were presented with their scholarships, each valued at $2,000 at a presentation event held at the Goulburn TAFE campus on 18th September.

Recipient James Charnock said he was pleased to receive the scholarship as it would assist him with his study purchases and course related fees.

The two other recipients, Ethan Butler and Connor Nolan were also extremely grateful for the scholarships, saying they were both ‘stoked’ to be successful recipients.

Goulburn TAFE’s Headteacher of Agriculture, Jillian Atkinson said this year’s group of around 20 students spread over both the Moss Vale and Goulburn campuses covered a variety of agricultural studies which included, Certificates III & IV in Agriculture, Diplomas of Agriculture and courses in both the Horse Industry and Veterinary Nursing.  TAFE also provides practical hands-on safety training in chainsaw use, tractor driving and maintenance, quad bike use and Livestock handling and care.

Ms Atkinson thanked the Veolia Mulwaree Trust for supporting Goulburn TAFE in its endeavour to provide a practical and quality rural education to students.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust is proud to assist the above TAFE students with their education and wishes them all the best with their future careers in the agricultural industry.
