Veolia Mulwaree Trust Announces Second Round of Grant and Donation Recipients for 2015

Trustee John Reynolds presents Exeter Public School leaders Hayley Brown and Oscar Goulder and Principal, Andrew Barnes with their cheque at Wednesday’s presentation event.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulates the following 30 organisations for their successful grant and donation applications in the latest round of  Trust funding.

Upper Lachlan Shire Council received a grant of $90,004 to assist the Gunning Community with their new skate park facility which will be located at the Gunning Showground.

Laggan Public School received a grant of $22,457 to build a commercial grade kitchen to be utilised by the students, P & C Association and the local community.

Shoalhaven United Football Club was successful in receiving a grant of $8,945 towards the upgrade of the club’s canteen area.

Tully Park Early Birds Golf Club of Goulburn will utilise a grant for $16,000 towards the purchase of a new grounds mower for use by the club’s grounds volunteers.

A grant of $16,550 will assist Exeter Public School to install a much needed COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area) in the school grounds.

Milton Ulladulla Basketball Association  has welcomed a grant of $12,000 to assist them to construct an outdoor basketball half court facility at the Mollymook Beach Reserve for the benefit of the community.

Nowra East Public School will utilise a grant of $11,018 to purchase and install an all weather LED school sign for the benefit of students and the local community. The school and the P & C Association have also contributed substantial funds towards the cost of the sign through fundraising events.

Goulburn and District Children’s Services Association were pleased to be presented with a grant for $8,000 to assist them to construct a ramp to enable wheelchair access to the Centre.

A grant of $15,466 will assist the Bungendore Country Music Muster group to complete their Bush Balladeers Place project. The commemorative area will provide a functional space in the Bungendore Park for use by visitors and the local community.

Royalla Common s355 Committee of Palerang Council received a grant of $53,116 to assist them with the construction of a community hall for the Royalla area.

Marulan Public School will utilise a grant of $15,000 to transform a disused storeroom into a general projects room. The room will incorporate a kitchen and garden area for use by the students, after school care, breakfast club and the local playgroup.

A grant of $5,640 will assist Goulburn and District Arts and Craft group to create a sealed car park area which will enable disabled access to their gallery.

Gunning District Community Health Service will utilise a grant of $2,764 to purchase medical equipment for use in Gunning’s newly established Community General Medical Practice.

A grant of $28,942 will assist Tallong Public School to enclose their existing COLA for better weather protection and greater use by the school community.

South Coast Branch NSW of Surf Life Saving Australia have welcomed an annual donation of $50,000 for 3 years from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust in support of the crucial life saving role they perform.

Grandparent and Family foster Carers Inc received a donation of $1,000 to enable them to continue to provide information and support to grandparent carers in the Goulburn community.

Goulburn Cycle Club received a donation of $1,000 to assist with essential training of club members in Roads & Maritime Services traffic control.

A donation of $1,000 to the Majors Creek Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade will enable them to purchase 3 trestle tables and 16 resin chairs for meetings and education in their fire shed.

Goulburn Loco Roundhouse Preservation Society has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist with the upgrade of their office equipment.

Kangaroo March Centenary Re-enactment Association Inc received a donation of $1,000 to assist the group with the costs associated with coordinating the 36 day march.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by the Parish of Sutton Forest, Tallong Church who will utilise the funds to prepare the Church for its 125th birthday celebrations in 2018.

Goulburn Schools As Community Centres will utilise a donation of $1,000 towards activities and equipment for the 2015 SPACExpo event. The annual event provides Goulburn and district school students with a day of  education, sports and fun.

Central Shoalhaven Mobile Preschool Unit received a donation of $1,000 to purchase 40 hardcover children’s books that will be suitable for transporting to appropriate venues.

Riversdale National Trust of Goulburn has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist them to create promotional material for The Riversdale Rare Plants Growers Fair.

Oberon Public School’s P & C Association received a donation of $500 to assist them with the construction of a memorial wall in the school grounds, to commemorate local residents who volunteered and fought in the First World War. The school hopes to create a thoughtful and respectful space for student education.

A donation of $599 to Southern Youth and Family Services will enable them to purchase a Spalding freestanding basketball hoop for their youth refuge facility in Goulburn.

Braidwood & District Historical Society was pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to assist them to purchase 2 large screen computer monitors to present photographs and documents in the museum.

Goulburn Stags Football Club have received a donation of $1,000 to purchase new training equipment for their 17 teams.

A donation of $1,000 to Goulburn’s Community Health Centre will enable them to brighten up their Children’s Health Room and install a wall mounted television.

Goulburn Mulwaree Youth Council have received a donation of $1,000 to assist the group to cater for the Kangaroo March at the Goulburn Showground in September.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust is proud to support the above community organisations and looks forward to the successful completion of their projects.
