Veolia Mulwaree Trust announces successful recipients of final funding round for 2015

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulates the following 33 organisations for their successful grant and donation applications in the final round of  Trust funding for 2015.

With a total of $379,221 in funds distributed by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust in the last round of funding, twelve community groups received grants as follows:

Bungendore Public School received a grant of $33,000 for the upgrade of the growing school’s playground equipment.

Warrigal Care Goulburn Auxiliary received a grant of $6,000 to assist with the purchase of special chairs and mattresses to enhance the comfort of residents at Warrigal Care Goulburn.

Braidwood FM Incorporated will utilise a grant for $20,583 to relocate their studio to a new purpose-built facility within the Braidwood Services Club grounds. The project also involves the complete fit-out of the new studios.

Taralga Bowling Club received a grant for $6,916 to assist with building an enclosed shed for the purpose of storing club equipment and for the use of club members.

A grant of $27,000 will assist the Goulburn Golf Course Reserve Trust to upgrade an existing pergola area with the addition of a concreted BBQ facility and the sealing of the adjoining paths to provide improved amenity for all users.

The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) has welcomed a grant of $70,867 to assist them to purchase essential equipment for use in the newly opened RIDBC Centre located in Canberra, which will service clients from Goulburn Mulwaree, Upper Lachlan, Palerang and Shoalhaven.

Crookwell/Taralga Aged Care – Sunset Lodge will utilise a grant of $4,687 to upgrade the facility’s recreational area for use by the residents of Sunset Lodge.

Milton Rural Landcare were pleased to be presented with a grant for $9,260 to assist them to construct a secure shed and annex for safe storage of equipment and propagation of tubestock.

A grant of $14,750 will assist Hill Top Public School to create an outdoor playscape using naturally sourced materials for the enjoyment of the students.

Tarago and District Show Society received a grant of $50,750 to assist them with upgrades to the showground exhibit area and the purchase of a new mower for grounds maintenance.

Big Fat Smile Preschool of Goulburn will utilise a grant of $4,285 to create a permanent natural play activity area for the children to enjoy and interact with.

A grant of $12,000 will assist the Sporting Shooters Association of Australia – Goulburn Branch to construct a much needed toilet block with disabled access at the club’s Goulburn facility.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust looks forward to working with these community organisations over the coming months toward the successful completion of their projects.

The following 21 organisations have been successful under the Veolia Mulwaree Trust donation program:

Warrigal Bundanoon Auxiliary received a donation of $1,000 to enable them to purchase a ’tilt in space’ shower chair for the comfort of residents.

YMCA Managers of the Goulburn Pool Facility received a donation of $1,000 to assist them to run a 60 day exercise program for local residents suffering from mental illness.

A donation of $1,000 to the Lackanooky Bay Fishing Club will enable them to continue to purchase Australian Bass fish for release into Pejar Dam for sporting events.

Goulburn Riding for the Disabled Association has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist with the ongoing care of the Association’s animals.

St Paul’s Primary School of Moss Vale received a donation of $1,000 to assist them with the costs of running their annual community fair.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by the Picton Swimming Club who will utilise the funds to upgrade their club house and install shade structures to the outside area.

Argyle Community Housing will utilise a donation of $700 towards the running costs of their Community Kitchen Program.

Goulburn Little Aussies Playgroup received a donation of $1,000 to assist with purchasing play equipment for use by its members.

Lake George Men’s Shed has welcomed a donation of $823 to assist with the  running of the Men’s Shed program.

Bungendore Quilters received a donation of $1,000 to assist with the costs associated with backing and quilting the finished quilts for distribution to the needy.

A donation of $1,000 to the Southern Highlands Symphony Orchestra will be utilised by the group to run one of their regular fundraising concerts.

St Bede’s Parish of Braidwood was pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to assist them to purchase and install fencing to the parish grounds.

Goulburn Rostrum Club have received a donation of $600 to assist with the costs associated with running the annual Primary School Public Speaking Competition.

A donation of $1,000 to Binda Public School will enable them to hire a bus to transport students to swimming lessons in Crookwell over a 10-day program.

Alpine/Aylmerton Rural Fire Brigade has received a donation of $1,000 to assist them to purchase wet weather coats for crew members attending road-side accidents.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by Wingello Garden Initiative to fund the hard scaping and edging of 196 metres of ground which will adjoin the group’s shed.

Collector Public School’s P & C Association will utilise a donation of $1,000 towards the transport of students to a 10-day swimming program in Goulburn.

Exeter Tennis Club received a donation of $1,000 to assist with improving facilities at the tennis club.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by the Braidwood Lions Club to purchase a portable PA system for use by members and guests at events.

Goulburn & District Education Foundation has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist them to continue supporting young local people to achieve success through further education.

Snowy Hydro SouthCare has welcomed a record annual donation of $100,000 for 2 years from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust in support of the crucial life saving role performed by the Snowy Hydro Rescue Helicopter. The Trust is pleased to continue partnering with Snowy Hydro SouthCare with the running of this valuable community rescue service.
