Goulburn Uniting Church installs new projector and screen thanks to Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant

GUC 1Goulburn Uniting Church have utilised a Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant of $5,405 to install a data projector and screen in their Church.

The previous projector and screen were over fifteen years old and had become unreliable. An updated system was needed to ensure an efficient service could be held, especially for events such as funerals, when bereaved families might like to show slides of their loved one/s. The Goulburn Uniting Church contributed half the cost of the projector and screen and members were grateful when the Veolia Mulwaree Trust agreed to fund the final 50% to ensure the project would be completed.

The projector and screen are used every Sunday as an aid to worship to improve vision and sound and the new system also allows the church service to be recorded each week and delivered to parishioners who can no longer attend the weekly service.

Member of the Church Property Committee, Mr Bruce Guy said “the installation of the projector and screen was completed with minimal problems and has been achieved in sympathy with present decor of the church interior. When the screen is not in use it can be retracted and remain unobtrusive. The projector has also been loaned to the organisers of the ‘Carols in the Park’ for the enjoyment of the Goulburn community at this well attended event.

Veolia Mulwaree Trust is proud to assist Goulburn Uniting Church with installing the projector and screen and looks forward to the new equipment being of benefit to the parishioners and local community for many years to come.
