Trust Announces Successful Recipients of Latest Round of Community Grants and Donations

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulates the following 37 organisations for their successful grant and donation applications in the latest round of  Trust funding.

With a total of $102,629 in funds distributed by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust in the last round of funding, eight community groups were invited to attend a cheque presentation event held at the Goulburn Worker’s Club on Thursday 19th May. Trustee John Reynolds is pictured presenting representatives from Oberon District Little Athletics Centre with their cheque at Thursday’s event. Successful recipients who attended are as follows:

Sanctuary Point Men’s Shed received a grant of $4,870 to assist them to purchase a new air conditioning unit for their recently constructed shed.

Clifton Community Food Garden received a grant of $1,852 to install a rain water tank to service the expansion of their Community Garden.

Appin Men’s Shed was successful in receiving a grant of $30,000 to assist in the construction of a permanent shed and a Community Market Garden.

Oberon District Little Athletics Centre (pictured) will utilise a grant for $19,249 towards the installation of a new double run up competition grade long jump pit at the Oberon Recreation Ground.

A grant of $3,000 will assist Friends of Inasmuch to purchase pressure area care equipment for high care and dementia patients in the Inasmuch Caring Centre.

Hampden Park Management Committee has welcomed a grant of $6,380 to assist with the installation of a new barbeque in Hampden Park, Robertson for use by the community and visitors.

Girl Guides NSW & ACT will utilise a grant of $4,090 towards upgrading Bebrue Girl Guide cottage in Mittagong.

Make-A-Wish Foundation Goulburn Branch have received a donation of $5,000 to assist with granting the wishes of seriously ill children in the Goulburn region.

The following 29 organisations were successful in receiving donations in the latest funding round.

Volunteering Wingecarribee of Moss Vale received a donation of $900 to assist with the cost of producing reference handbooks for volunteers and client organisations.

A donation of $1,000 will assist St John of God Centenary Committee in Goulburn to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the former St John of God Hospital.

Crookwell Soccer Club received a donation of $1,000 to enable them to purchase equipment and new uniforms for their junior teams.

Picton Netball Club received a donation of $1,000 to purchase a portable shade shelter for use at the netball courts.

A donation of $1,000 to SHINE for Kids will assist them to purchase much needed children’s resources to equip their child and family centre in Goulburn.

North Shoalhaven Meals Cooperative Ltd has welcomed a donation of $968 to assist with the purchase of light weight, stackable chairs for their meeting room.

Ss Peter and Paul’s Primary School of Goulburn received a donation of $1,000 to purchase vegetable seeds, plants, tools and equipment for the School’s Garden Club.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by the Wingello Village Association who will utilise the funds to improve the community clay tennis courts and to produce folders of local information for new residents.

Southern Highlands Carriage Club will utilise a donation of $820 to purchase a chest freezer to assist with catering for events held at their facility.

Crookwell Garden Festival received a donation of $1,000 to purchase reusable banners to be hung in Crookwell’s main street to advertise the annual Crookwell Garden Festival.

Tenison Apartments – Southern Cross Care in Goulburn has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to purchase a Reverie Harp, stand, carry bag and CD’s. The harp is designed to make a beautiful sound for any player and will provide much pleasure for the residents.

Sanctuary Point Community Pride received a donation of $1,000 to assist them to produce a brochure about Sanctuary Point Community Pride to distribute at the October Community Fair with the aim of encouraging new members.

Country Women’s Association Bowral Branch was pleased to receive a $500 donation to purchase a pull down screen for their branch room to showcase information and promotional activities to members and the community.

A donation of $1,000 to Trinity Catholic College Goulburn will assist 14 students to visit Timor Leste to broaden their learning by assisting the underprivileged community in June this year.

Lara Jean Association will utilise a donation of $1,000 to hold their annual Bowlarama event which provides a free, fun filled day for special needs children and families in the Shoalhaven area.

Wingello Mechanics Institute Hall Management Committee was pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to assist them with purchasing a commercial grade under bench dishwasher for the hall.

The Myositis Association Australia, Nowra Branch has received a donation of $1,000 towards staging a Myositis National Conference with guest speaker Dr Merrilee Needham in October this year.

A donation of $1,000 to FOCAS Shoalhaven will assist with providing Social Role Valorisation workshops in Nowra for the benefit of their staff.

Bigga Public School P & C Association was pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to assist them with purchasing new ipads for the kindergarten children.

Bundanoon Highland Gathering has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to purchase a 120kg Stone of Manhood to be used as a permanent acknowledgment of the 40th anniversary of ‘Bundanoon is Brigadoon’ Highland games.

A donation of $1,000 to On the Grow Southern Highlands will assist them to purchase a large shade structure which will provide shelter for stall holders and visitors at their ‘local growers’ market every Thursday afternoon.

Berry Landcare has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist with the establishment of a local community based significant tree register.

Moss Vale Landcare Group received a donation of $1,000 to assist with running programs designed to encourage new members to the group.

Loop Line Pony Club received a donation of $1,000 to purchase new jumping equipment, basic props for beginners and general equipment for pony club rally days and events.

Tarago Branch Country Women’s Association received a donation of $1,000 to assist with the cost of purchasing a speaker and cordless microphones for use at meetings and events.

Penrose Public School P & C Association was pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to enable them to build a permanent plaque to commemorate the 125th year of Penrose School.

Interchange Shoalhaven will benefit from a $1,000 donation which will assist them to purchase much needed equipment for their meeting room.

Ajax Colts Hockey Club of Goulburn has received a donation for $1,000 to assist with purchasing new training aids and equipment for club members.

Goulburn City Swans AFC were pleased to receive a donation of $1,000 to go towards building undercover benches for use by spectators during games. The benches will be on wheels so that they can be easily stored between games.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust is proud to support the above community organisations and looks forward to the successful completion of their projects.
