Trust Announces Successful Recipients of Latest Round of Community Grants and Donations

WebsiteThe Veolia Mulwaree Trust congratulates the following 22 organisations for their successful grant and donation applications in the latest round of  Trust funding.

With a total of $158,446 in funds distributed by the Veolia Mulwaree Trust in the last round of funding, twelve community groups were invited to attend a cheque presentation event held at the Goulburn Worker’s Club on Thursday 18th August. Guest presenter, Veolia Environmental Services Woodlawn facility manager, Mr Henry Gundry is pictured presenting representatives from Bundanoon Community Association  with their cheque at Thursday’s event. Successful recipients who attended are as follows:

Majors Creek Recreation Reserve Trust received a grant of $2,770 to assist them to construct a new storage facility at the Majors Creek site.

Appin Dogs Junior Rugby League Football Club received a grant of $12,622 to improve disability access and spectator seating at the club grounds.

Havenlee School was successful in receiving a grant of $8,375 to assist with the construction of an outdoor gym for use by students and the community.

St Mary’s Primary School will utilise a grant for $6,292 towards the purchase of technological resources designed to enhance access to learning.

A grant of $29,474 will assist Ulladulla Men’s Shed to construct much needed extensions to the existing Men’s Shed facility.

Upper Lachlan Shire Council has welcomed a grant of $45,000 to assist with the installation of a disabled toilet block and septic system at Tuena.

Tarlo Rural Bushfire Brigade will utilise a grant of $2,810 towards the upgrade of the facility’s flooring.

Stonequarry Cemetery s355 Committee received a grant of $8,989 to enable them to construct a much needed community toilet at the remote cemetery location.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council received a grant of $10,820 to relocate the Goulburn Sporting Hall of Fame to the Veolia Arena entrance where it can be better appreciated by the community.

Bundanoon Community Association was successful in receiving a grant of $7,500 to enable the group to purchase a new Grand Piano to replace their current 20+ year old piano.

Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital was successful in receiving a grant of $8,825 to assist with upgrading the Intensive Care Unit courtyard to provide a place of respite for patients, staff and visitors.

Rotary Club of Bowral-Mittagong have received a donation of $5,000 to assist with the 2016 DreamCricket sporting day which benefits disabled students and their families from across the region.

The following 10 organisations were successful in receiving donations in the latest funding round.

New & Used Productions Inc of Bowral received a donation of $1,000 to assist with purchasing art materials and other resources.

A donation of $1,000 will assist Goulburn Schools as Community Centres to run the 2016 SPACExpo program which provides sporting and educational experiences to students from Goulburn and district schools.

Bowral Cricket Club Inc received a donation of $1,000 to enable them update the club’s cricket kits and coaching tools.

Tahmoor District Netball Club received a donation of $1,000 to provide training and club uniforms for coaches, umpires and club officials.

A donation of $1,000 to Picton Theatre Group Inc will assist them to stage a production with STADS & Picton Harmony Singing Group.

Bomaderry Public School P & C has welcomed a donation of $1,000 to assist with purchasing a new freezer unit for the school canteen.

Goulburn and District Netball Association received a donation of $1,000 to purchase new rule books and a portable tent for use by representative teams attending carnivals.

A donation of $1,000 has been welcomed by the Moss Vale Public School P & C who will utilise the funds to install solar panels at the school.

Southern Highlands Vietnam Veterans will utilise a donation of $1,000 towards the 50th Anniversary of Long Tan exhibition and dinner on 18th August 2016 in Mittagong.

Crookwell CWA Day Branch received a donation of $969 to purchase a new refrigerator for the CWA Day Branch rooms.
