New Toilet Facilities for Goulburn & District Branch of Sporting Shooters Assn. of Australia
Sporting Shooters Association of Australia (SSAA) Goulburn & District Branch have utilised a grant of $12,000 from Veolia Mulwaree Trust to install a much needed new toilet facility with disabled access at their Goulburn shooting range site.
Prior to the completion of the toilet facility, the shooting site included a club house, storage shed, covered shooting area and related shooting structures but not a toilet or any access to one. As a result the club were unable to organise or host events other than those of the shortest duration.
The Goulburn Branch of SSAA successfully raised $9,500 towards the toilet project and then managed to secure a $20,000 grant from NSW Office of Sport. The Veolia Mulwaree Trust was pleased to contribute the final $12,000 needed to ensure the project was completed.
Club president, Mr Ken Kenchington said “our organisation now has a toilet facility as well as a ramp for disabled access to the club rooms which can be used by members, visitors from other clubs and the general public when we have open days. We now have a set up that enables us to host a series of future events at the SSAA range including the Black Powder Shooting Festival.”
Mr Henry Gundry, manager of Veolia’s Woodlawn facility, was pleased represent the Trust at the official opening ceremony of the new toilet facility, at which time the club expressed their gratitude to the Veolia Mulwaree Trust for assisting with the completion of the project.
The Veolia Mulwaree Trust is very proud to support the SSAA Goulburn & District Branch with this valuable project and looks forward to the new toilet facility enabling the club to increase their activities and events into the future.
