New Barbecue for Robertson’s Hampden Park thanks to Veolia Mulwaree Trust Grant

website-photoHampden Park Management Committee have utilised a Veolia Mulwaree Trust grant of $6,380 to install an electric barbecue in Hampden Park at Robertson.

Lynne Morrison, committee co-ordinator with Wingecarribee Shire Council said, “Hampden Park is a well used park located in the middle of Robertson. The barbecue is a much needed addition that will allow local community members, sporting groups and travellers to enjoy a picnic by the children’s playground in Hampden Park”.

Robertson Burrawang Rovers Soccer Club and Robertson Burrawang Cricket Club worked together to raise funds towards the barbecue project, with Wingecarribee Shire Council also contributing funds and work towards the project. The Hampden Park Management Committee were pleased to secure the remaining 50% of the project total in grant funds from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust.

Hampden Park Management Committee chairman Damien Plain said “the barbecue will provide a boost for Robertson, there are a lot of kids parties held at the Park and the barbecue will be a big benefit to locals holding events. The barbecue is also great for the sporting and community groups who regularly use the park for presentations and social events”.

The Veolia Mulwaree Trust is pleased to support the Hampden Park Management Committee and the Robertson and district community with the barbeque in Hampden Park project. The Trust wishes users of the barbecue facility many years of enjoyment.
