TAFE students benefit from Veolia Mulwaree Trust scholarships

TAFE students attended a presentation event on Friday, 19th May at the Goulburn campus to receive 2017 Veolia Mulwaree Trust scholarships.

In partnership with TAFE NSW, the Trust funds four general scholarships valued at $1,500 each and three Agriculture scholarships valued at $2,000 each per year.

The successful recipients for 2017 were;

General Scholarships – Sarah Sylvester, Cameron Phelps, Tanisha-Rose Gannon and Maggie Nolan.

Agriculture Scholarships – Janelle Spowart, James Heeley and Kami Boerma.

Trustee John Reynolds attended Friday’s event to present the recipients with their scholarships. Mr Reynolds spoke about the Veolia Mulwaree Trust’s ongoing commitment to supporting the great service TAFE Illawarra provides to the local community by offering practical based, further education to students. 

TAFE NSW manager district operations David Guthrey said “the Veolia Scholarships are very important in assisting local students to achieve their vocational training goals, we thank the Veolia Trustees for the ongoing support they provide to our students.”
